Our Story
Tahi Bakehouse was born from something deeply personal, a childhood memory of always sharing something sweet with my dad.
When I lost my dad to COVID, I lost a piece of myself, too. Years later, baking is what found me. It brought me back to the cherished childhood memories we shared over sweets, and for the first time in a long time, I felt him close again.
But loving sweets came with a struggle. I lived in a constant trade-off: eat them and feel terrible, or avoid them entirely. Neither felt like a real solution. So I started experimenting in my own kitchen, blending what my mom taught me about eating well with my dad's love for something sweet, as my way of honoring him. What I thought was just a personal solution slowly revealed itself as something bigger.
I wasn't the only one going through this. Friends and coworkers around me were struggling with the same thing, many with dietary restrictions. That’s when I decided to become a certified healthy pastry chef, dove deep into how ingredients affect our energy and well-being, and made it my mission to create a real option for them. The reaction from my early tasters was always the same: "I can't believe these are healthy and taste this good." That's when I knew this was a solution.
We make New York-style cookies thick, crisp on the outside, gooey in the center, completely sugar-free and gluten-free. Made with simple, honest ingredients. Nothing hidden, nothing unnecessary. Every ingredient has a purpose, and together they create something truly delicious and nourishing.
These cookies were crafted to be inclusive for those living with diabetes, celiac disease, or any dietary restriction, and for anyone simply looking for a better choice.
Tahi Bakehouse is a movement rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel included at the table. We are here to help people find a better way, not just to eat, but to live and to enjoy life fully. Every person who finds us, every story shared, every moment of "I finally found something I can have" that's what drives us forward.
